  • What is the Arizona Charitable Tax Credit?
    The Arizona Charitable Tax Credit reduces your state taxes owed, dollar-for-dollar as a credit. A donation of up to $841 to Waste Not truly costs you nothing as it will be applied as a credit on your state tax return. That’s right, you can get it all back in the form of an Arizona state liability tax credit. That’s a win-win for you and for the more than nearly 90 local nonprofits we serve annually.
  • Is Waste Not a Qualifying Charitable Organization?
    YES, Waste Not is a Qualifying Charitable Organization (QCO) & Waste Not’s QCO code is #20408.
  • Do I qualify?
    YES, anyone who files income taxes in Arizona can claim the credit simply by making a donation to Waste Not. *
  • What are the giving limits?
    You can get a tax credit refund of up to $421* for single tax filers and up to $841* for joint tax filers. Any donation amount up to the maximum is greatly appreciated!
  • How do I claim the credit?
    Once you've made your donation to Waste Not, you'll receive a receipt from us with our QCO Code (#20408). When you file your taxes, use Form 321 (it will be published by the AZ Department of Revenue on or around January 19th).   • When is the deadline?
    You have until April 15 to make a donation that qualifies for the tax credit. *
  • Do I need to itemize my taxes to claim this credit?
    NOPE! You no longer need to itemize your taxes to take advantage of this opportunity.
