Winner of $500.00 US Airways Gift Card Bowls Of Compassion, Sponsored by APSOn September 7, APS hosted a reception and sale of one-of-a-kind ceramic art donated by local artisans from the Arizona Clay Association. This exhibit is on display through September 28 and showcases many of the items that will be available for purchase during the up-coming Empty Bowls event. Prior to the opening of the exhibit, artist David Bradley installed his 1,000 ceramic bowls display– each of which is signed, numbered and dated. David's passion is reflected in the configuration of bowls symbolizing that hunger will always be with us and that the effort to alleviate it should be everyone's battle. Bowls will be for sale during all Empty Bowl events. Pictured below is well-known artist, David Bradley, co-chair of Waste Not's Empty Bowls event, along with Lee Carroll.
